Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

1. Recognize common indications for CEEG monitoring in the ICU setting for neonates, children, and adults, including considerations in neuromonitoring resource allocation across the age spectrum;
2. Identify EEG patterns defined in the ACNS ICU EEG terminology guidelines that are encountered in the ICU across the age spectrum, including artifacts, standardized background features, periodic and rhythmic patterns, seizures and status epilepticus and their implications for management and prognosis; and
3. Describe the role and limitations of innovate neuromonitoring tools utilized in the acute care of critically ill patients, including quantitative EEG and point of care EEG.
