Accreditation Statement
The American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation
A maximum number of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Acquire a fundamental understanding of commonly used NIOM modalities, their function, and the relevant neurologic circuitry;
  2. Appreciate how NIOM modalities are applied in the operative environment, how findings should be communicated to the OR team, and how they are affected by anesthetics, technical issues, and equipment limitations; and
  3. Understand the steps of spine surgery and identify high-risk moments when NIOM may detect changes.
