2022 Annual Meeting & Courses to Convene Virtually

With great disappointment, the ACNS Council has made the difficult decision to convene the 2022 Annual Meeting & Courses in an all-virtual format, January 26-30, 2022. We are deeply saddened to have faced this decision yet again in 2022, and so close to the dates of the meeting.

Throughout the process of planning this meeting, there has been great optimism and excitement around coming together again as an ACNS community. As recently as a week ago, the Course and Program Committees were eagerly discussing various aspects of the celebration and impatiently awaiting our arrival in Orlando.

It has become apparent, however, that the surge of the Omicron variant with resultant travel restrictions and physician shortages in many parts of the country will preclude our ability to come together responsibly in two weeks’ time.

Please know that this decision was not made lightly. ACNS leadership has met several times in the past weeks, considering this decision from all angles. There are no easy or universal answers, and we are aware that no solution will satisfy everyone.

Although we regret not being able to see you in person, ACNS remains committed to providing world class education and sharing the latest scientific advances in clinical neurophysiology. To that end, we are confident that the virtual 2022 Annual Meeting and Courses will provide an exceptional opportunity for colleagues around the world to gather and engage.

Suzette M. LaRoche, MD, FACNS

Jaime R. López, MD, FACNS
ACNS First Vice President/President-Elect

Those who registered to attend the meeting in-person will automatically be converted to virtual registration.

The preliminary program for the meeting is online now and a final program will be posted shortly. The 2022 Annual Meeting & Courses virtual platform goes live January 20.
