ACNS is thrilled to announce the launch of ACNS Connect, the official online discussion forum of ACNS, designed exclusively for members to communicate, network, and share knowledge.
Login
Go to www.acns.org and click "ACNS Connect" at the top of the page. Log in with your ACNS member credentials. You can reset your password by clicking on the "Forgot Password" link. If you need to update your email address, contact info@acns.org.
Update your Profile
Your name, title, and organization were pulled from your member record, but now it's time to complete your ACNS Connect profile with education information, job history, interests, and more. Your "Profile" page can be found in the top right of the ACNS Connect homepage. Don’t forget to upload your photo!
Set Digest Email Frequency
ACNS Connect will send an email digest summarizing the activity from your communities. You can choose to receive these digest emails daily, weekly, or stay informed in real-time with instant alerts. Set your digest frequency by clicking "Profile" in the upper right corner of the ACNS Connect homepage, selecting "My Account," and choosing "Email Preferences" from the drop-down box.
Join a Community
Once logged into ACNS Connect, find the "Communities" drop-down tab at the top of the page and click on "Suggested Communities" to see all of the possible communities available for you to join.
By default, everyone has been added to the "All Members Forum." There are currently five additional communities that you can join, and new communities may be added in the future. The five current communities are:
Subscribe to any community by clicking the blue "Join" button next to the community name and description. You'll be prompted to specify how you want to receive messages from the community's discussion group (as-it-happens, daily, or no emails).
TIP: If you don’t see a “Join” button on a community, you either already belong to the community or the community is private.
Make Connections
You can search for ACNS members by name, company, or email address using the "Directory" found on the homepage, or dig deeper by using the "Advanced Options" function to search for members by community, location, or more.
Once you've found who you're looking for, you can view member profiles, send messages, or add contacts directly from the search results page.
Access Resources
When you're in need of samples, documents, templates, and more, search in the "Library Entries" section, which can be accessed from the "Browse" tab on the homepage. Your peers may have already posted the resource you're looking for.
Return the favor by uploading documents of your own, either directly to a community library or by including them in an attachment to your post.
Tip: Like what you found? Take the time to "Like" and/or comment on the document to help others in the future.
Engage in Discussion
Get the most value out of ACNS Connect by participating in conversations! All communities feature integrated online discussion boards which allow you to engage with your fellow ACNS members.
Want to browse all discussions? Two options:
1. Go to Browse > All Discussions to see the discussions in all communities (not just the ones you are in).
2. Navigate into a community, then click Discussion to see the latest conversations.
Want to start a new discussion? Two options:
1. Go to Participate > Post a Message and then choose the communities in which you want to post your message.
2. Navigate into a community, then click Discussion > Post New Message.
TIP: In any discussion, you can also add attachments, tag other members, or format the text.
