Call for 2025 Award Nominations

The ACNS Awards Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Herbert H. Jasper, Pierre Gloor, Robert S. Schwab, Marc R. Nuwer, Distinction in Teaching, and Distinction in Service Awards.

The Herbert H. Jasper Award is presented annually to an individual for a lifetime of outstanding contributions to the field of clinical neurophysiology including research, teaching and mentoring. It is analogous to a lifetime achievement award.

The Pierre Gloor Award is presented annually for an individual’s outstanding contributions to central clinical neurophysiology research, and the Robert S. Schwab Award is presented annually for an individual’s outstanding contributions to peripheral clinical neurophysiology research.

The Marc R. Nuwer Award is presented to an individual in recognition of outstanding service to ACNS and its members, including non-scientific contributions.

The Distinction in Teaching Award is presented annually to recognize a mid-career ACNS member for outstanding accomplishments in teaching clinical neurophysiology to fellows, residents, medical students or EEG technologists. Complete eligibility criteria can be found on the ACNS website.

The Distinction in Service Award is presented annually to recognize a mid-career ACNS member who demonstrated outstanding service to the field of clinical neurophysiology at the institutional or national level. Complete eligibility criteria can be found on the ACNS website.

Recipients of these awards will be acknowledged at the 2025 Annual Meeting & Courses, February 26 – March 2, 2025 in Baltimore, Maryland.

ACNS members may submit a nomination for any these awards using the nomination form at the bottom of the Members-Only home page.  Previous recipients of each award are listed on the Awards section of the ACNS website.

The deadline to submit an award nomination is Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
